Brigadier General of the 155th Brigade, Colonel Taras Maksimov, is transferred to the headquarters of the 16th Army Corps, and the Chief of Staff of the 425th Separate Assault Regiment “Skelya” Stanislav Luchanov will take his place.

Details: the transfer of Maksimov to the headquarters of the 16th AK took place recently (the 16th corps is responsible for part of the Kharkiv region), Luchanov will take the post of brigade commander in the 155th in a few days. The reasons for such changes in the UP are still unknown.

The 155th brigade itself emphasized several times in its social networks that after a big story with a mass SZH and difficulties during the approach of the newly created brigade to the Pokrovsky direction of Maksimov “brought order of battle“ and helped “confidently keep the line of responsibility”.

There is minimal information about Luchanov himself in the public domain. It is known that he received it in the summer of 2024 order “For courage” of the 3rd degree.

Why it matters: As interlocutors of the UP in the Defense Forces note, the appointment of a man from “Skeli” as a brigade commander of the 155th brigade means expanding the influence of “Skeli” as a unit. Presumably, the troops of the 155th brigade will be used as “reinforcement” units in those positions that were recaptured by “Skelya”.

Prehistory:

• The 155th separate mechanized brigade named after Anna of Kyiv since the end of 2024 has been on the defensive in the Pokrovsky direction.
• It became a rather painful page in the history of the brigade mass SZHwhich became known in early 2025 thanks to the posts of journalist, now military serviceman Yuriy Butusov. Then the State Bureau of Investigation noted that it was conducting an investigation under the articles of abuse of power and desertion.
• On May 19, 2025, after the SDF detained one of the combatants of the 155th brigade in Donetsk region, “Ukrainian Pravda” published an investigation in which it told how the business of fictitious “combatants” was organized in the 155th brigade.
