“The main task of which is proposed to determine customer service that do not currently have stable access to financial services (citizens of Ukraine and micro -enterprises in areas close to the war zone, in the liberated territories, as well as socially vulnerable groups),” the post reads.
Financial inclusion banks will be able to provide services to individuals, organizations and economic entities with an annual income of up to 5 million euros, as well as public authorities. At the same time, their activities will be limited in the capital markets, and the amount of lending to one borrower is regulated, the deputy explained.
Getmantsev stressed that the main purpose of the bill is to create legal conditions for the emergence of a new segment of financial services providers focused on supporting vulnerable categories of the population and business.
Earlier it was reported that UkrPoshta, together with the National Bank of Ukraine and People’s Deputies, joined the drafting on the development of financial inclusion.
The adoption of the bill will allow Ukrposhta to provide basic financial services directly in their offices, in particular in villages and frontier communities. This applies to services such as opening accounts, transferring funds, providing small credits and receiving payments.
