But there is also an actual component when we have millions of internally displaced persons and millions have gone abroad. We have occupied territories. There are areas that are completely destroyed. And the actual information about the residents of these settlements is not displayed in the Register. Because, if the citizen has not registered at a new place of residence, then he is in the registry for the old, even if, say, the city of Bakhmut.
For understanding, if you talk about the city of Bakhmut, at the beginning of a full -scale invasion of the registry there were about 57 thousand voters, and now – about 56 thousand. That is, the change happened a thousand, and in fact we all know that there is no one there …
And so there is a question of the mechanism of how this actual discrepancy is reflected and taken into account. In principle, no one came up with a working option. It is not clear what to do, even the census does not save the population here. That’s our reality. ”
Details: Didenko explained that on a monthly basis the relevant bodies provide information on changes in voter information. However, at the beginning of the invasion of the CEC stopped the registry. The work of the Register was renewed since December 2023.
