The average monthly air temperature in Kiev for a calendar winter was -0.5 ° C, which is higher than the climatic norm by two degrees, the Central Geophysical Observatory named after Boris Sreznevsky reported on March 4.

“Winter 2024-2025 has only become a tenth in the ranking of the warmest winters in Kiev since 1881. In addition to February, the winter months were warmer in the capital. The most positive deviation was January – 5.3 ° C. In total, 11 temperature records were registered in the capital in the capital towards exceeding previous historical values. They are all noted in January, ”the message reads.

According to meteorologists, the coldest day of winter was February 13, when the temperature dropped to -12.3 ° C, and the warmest -January 30, when the air temperature increased to +11.6 ° C.

89 mm precipitation fell out in winter, which was 72% of the climatic norm.

The Boris Sreznevsky Observatory reported earlier that 2024 in Kyiv became the warmest during the observation – the average annual temperature of 2024 in the capital was +11.4 ° C, which is 2.4 ° C higher than the climatic norm.
