“Oil stains caused by damage to sunflower oil tanks during Russian attacks on port infrastructure were recorded in the Black Sea near Odessa”, — write: www.radiosvoboda.org
According to him, the reason is the damage to sunflower oil tanks as a result of the last massive attacks on the port infrastructure, due to which part of the vegetable oil got into the territory of the enterprise, the roadway, into the water area of the estuary and then into the sea.
Kiper noted that for the first two days after the attack, the port was under continuous Russian shelling, so work on the localization of the leak could only be carried out partially – exclusively in the breaks between air alarms and with compliance with all safety requirements for personnel. During this period, experts carried out phased installation of boom barriers.
Specialists monitor the state of the water, record the damage caused to the environment.
The head of the OVA emphasized that it is about vegetable (sunflower) oil – an organic substance that is subject to natural biological decay.
Earlier today, the head of Odessa MBA, Serhiy Lysak, reported that oil-like stains were found in Odesa near Dolphin and Langheron beaches.
Since the beginning of December, the forces of the Russian Federation have been attacking Odeshchya almost daily, the targets of the attacks were, among other things, ports. According to local authorities, this night in Odessa is the first in a long time without air raids and Russian attacks.
On December 22, about 30 containers with flour and vegetable oil caught fire in the “Pivdenny” port in Odesa region after nighttime Russian strikes. This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction – the Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba.
The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.
The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.
The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
