Literally KMDA: “As of 19:00, a temporary worsening of the air condition is observed in Kyiv.
An increase in the concentration of suspended particles (dust) is recorded.
The probable reason for the temporary deterioration of the air condition is fires in the ecosystem of the Kyiv region.”
Details: To improve the situation with the air condition, the KMDA recommends:
- close the windows;
- limit being outside;
- drink a lot of water;
- if there is an air purifier, turn it on to the maximum.
According to the IQ Air portal, which monitors air quality in the world, as of 8:13 p.m. in Kyiv, the air quality index is 116, which is “unhealthy for sensitive groups.”
“The concentration of PM2.5 (solid particles – ed.) in Kyiv is currently 7.2 times higher than the WHO’s annual air quality recommendations,” the portal says.
What preceded: On September 20, the KMDA warned that the air condition in Kyiv had worsened due to fires in the region’s ecosystem – a strong smell of burning could be felt.
