Verbatim PS: “Given the resonance in the media regarding the transfer of specialists of the aviation engineering service to units of other branches and types of the Armed Forces, I officially announce that such transfers will not be carried out! This also applies to other specialties that are in short supply in the Air Force.

It is also not about the transfer of people who studied abroad on the Western technology of anti-aircraft missile troops, trained soldiers from the calculations of mobile fire groups, other highly specialized specialists, who are objectively difficult to find a replacement for.

Details: At the same time, the PS command stated that the situation at the front “requires difficult decisions from the top military leadership.”

“In particular, this also applies to the transfer of Air Force servicemen to units of other types and types of the Armed Forces. It is not the first year that the Air Force has been strengthening combat comrades on the front lines, primarily this applies to units that are trained on the basis of the Combined Rifle Brigade of the Air Force and fight in the hottest areas of the front .

In addition, in accordance with the decisions made, the Air Force is gradually transferring a certain number of personnel to the ground units to strengthen the brigades on the front line. However, this will not apply specifically to the scarce specialties and specialists who are involved in the execution of tasks by combat aviation,” the PS said.

Ukrainian pilots Ivan Smerechanskyi (Smereka) and Vadym Voroshilov (Karaya) also spoke on their pages about the importance of the engineering and technical staff. “Being pragmatic in this situation, having given away highly qualified engineering and technical specialists, we simply will not be able to find a replacement for them, because civilians with the appropriate military accounting specialty are almost impossible to find, and the training path is quite long. As a result, this will lead to maintenance and service problems aircraft – as a result, we will have a reduction in the combat capability of aviation brigades,” Voroshilov wrote.

“It takes at least 3 years (in wartime) to train an aircraft technician or any engine maintenance specialist or an aircraft sight (in wartime)… And a big place here is occupied by the engineering and technical staff. They are no less important than the pilots! Pilot and ITS are inseparable,” wrote pilot Smerechanskyi.
