The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces clarifies that no violation of the airspace of Ukraine from the territory of Belarus has been established.

“The fact of violation of the airspace of Ukraine from the territory of Belarus has not been established. Radar jamming was allegedly used,” the message reads.

Earlier, the Armed Forces reported that an air target from Belarus had crossed the Ukrainian border. An air alert was announced in a number of regions (Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv).

The Belarusian authorities did not comment on this report. The “Belarusian Grove” project assumed that it could be a Yak-130 combat training aircraft.

  • Oleksandr Lukashenko supported the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022 and allowed the use of the territory, military infrastructure and airspace of Belarus for the invasion of the Russian army and shelling of Ukrainian cities, which killed tens of thousands of peaceful Ukrainians.
  • International sanctions were imposed against Belarus for supporting the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
  • Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, military exercises have been held almost continuously on the territory of Belarus, and Ukraine has been strengthening its borders in the Belarusian direction.
