A team of engineers, physicists and computer experts from the Canadian company Xanadu Quantum Technologies Inc. She made a real breakthrough in the field of quantum calculations, presenting the world’s first prototype of a scalable and height photonic quantum computer that is connected.

In his article published in Nature, a group of scientists describes the process of creating this unique device. They have developed a modular structure that makes it easy to scalable the computer to almost any desired size.

Unlike traditional quantum computers that require complex cooling systems and operate at extremely low temperatures, Xanadu development is based on photons and operates at room temperature. This makes it more accessible and easy to use.

The prototype consists of four server racks, combined into a single network. Each stable performs a specific function: generating cubes, storage, cleaning, routing and processing information.

The peculiarity of this quantum computer is its modularity. The base block with several cubes can be easily expanded by adding new blocks, which significantly increases the computing power of the system.

Researchers suggest that thousands of such racks can be interconnected by fiber cables, forming a huge quantum computer with incredible computing.

During testing, the system successfully created a unique confusing state with billions of mod, which confirms its ability to perform complex and large -scale calculations with a high degree of failure.

This breakthrough opens new horizons for the development of quantum technologies and brings us closer to the creation of powerful computing systems capable of solving problems that are inaccessible to modern computers.
