The direct speech of Sybig: “We have managed to deliver up to 80% of what was promised to Ukraine. The Czech side fulfilled its promise and delivered 520,000 shells of 155 mm caliber and a large number of other calibers by the end of 2024. But I was confirmed that all the promised shells of various calibers have been purchased.”
Details: According to him, we are now talking about finalizing their delivery to Ukraine.
“But it should also be remembered that procurement also depends on donor funds – the Czech Republic collects funds from our partners, and helping with this, working with the capitals, is one of the tasks of Ukrainian diplomacy. Because there were certain countries that promised a certain amount of funds, but they were not introduced,” the minister said.
What happened before:
- Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky in an interview with “European Truth” in November said that there is still a large amount of manufactured ammunition in the world, which could be purchased for the Armed Forces in 2025.
- It was previously reported that the Czech initiative is capable of providing the Armed Forces with 50,000 to 100,000 large-caliber projectiles per month.
