Details: Sybiga noted that he thanked the head of the State Department for his efforts aimed at ensuring that all previously promised aid to Ukraine was provided “in the coming weeks.”
“We coordinated further support, including air defense and pressure on Russia. I appreciate the decisive leadership of the US and Secretary of State Blinken,” he added.
The State Department added that Sibiga and Blinken discussed the situation at the front and the latest Russian missile and drone attacks against Ukraine.
“The Secretary of State confirmed the unwavering support of the United States to Ukrainians in protecting their freedom,” they said.
The day before, on December 26, US President Joe Biden reacted to the massive Russian attack on the regions of Ukraine on Christmas Day and promised to strengthen the country’s air defense.
It was previously reported that the USA will announce the final package of the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) in the coming days, using the remaining funds reserved for the purchase of new weapons for Ukraine.
