According to the minister, all Ukrainian ambassadors are tasked with protecting the dignity of Ukraine.

“Therefore, I reject such teachings and instead call on my new Czech colleague to engage in a constructive dialogue in order to strengthen the mutually beneficial Ukrainian-Czech strategic partnership,” Sybiga wrote.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Petr Matsinka said that he does not consider it appropriate for the ambassador of a foreign country to publicly evaluate the statements of one of the highest constitutional officials of the Czech Republic.

On Thursday, the Ambassador of Ukraine in Prague, Vasyl Zvarych, criticized the statements of the speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Tomio Okamura, against Ukraine and its leadership.

In his New Year’s speech, Okamura, the head of the far-right Freedom and Direct Democracy party, opposed aid to Ukraine and declared the “Zelensky junta.”

Czech opposition parties want to hold a vote in the Chamber of Deputies (the lower house of parliament) on the resignation of its leader Tomio Okamura.
