“I was delighted to meet Josep Borrell and thank him for his exceptional personal commitment to the unity and strength of the EU in supporting Ukraine and countering Russian aggression. We discussed ways to increase the price of war for the aggressor,” the minister wrote on the social network Kh.
On November 25-26, Sybiga is visiting Italy, where he is participating in the G7 ministerial meeting.
Borrell did not comment on the meeting with Sibiga at the moment. But the day before, he admitted that despite the fact that the European Union allocated a total of 122 billion euros to support Ukraine, including 45 billion in military aid, the EU failed to provide Ukraine with sufficient resources to defend against constant air attacks on its civilian and energy infrastructure.
Josep Borrell will soon finish his work as the chief diplomat of the European Union, he will be replaced by the former prime minister of Estonia, Kaia Kallas.
