“Such an attack near the border of the EU and NATO is a serious threat to security on the European continent and a test for the transatlantic community. We demand a decisive reaction to Russia’s reckless actions,” Sybiga wrote, adding that Ukraine is informing the US and European partners about the details of the attack.

The head of the Foreign Ministry also called it “absurd” that the Russian Federation calls the massive shelling of Ukraine in response to the alleged attack of Ukrainian drones on Putin’s residence.

“It is absurd that Russia is trying to justify this strike with a fake ‘attack on Putin’s residence’, which never happened. This is another proof that Moscow does not need real reasons for its terror and war,” he wrote.

Sybiga called on the partners to take decisive measures against the Russian tanker fleet and assets.

We will remind:

  • On December 29, US President Donald Trump announced a conversation with the ruler of the Russian Federationin which he told him, among other things, about Ukraine’s alleged attempt attack his residence with drones.
  • On January 1, The Wall Street Journal reported that US national security officials refuted the claims of the Russian sideabout the alleged attack of Ukrainian drones on Putin’s residence.
  • Ukraine denied carrying out such an attack and called the accusations part of a Russian disinformation campaign aimed at driving a wedge between Kyiv and Washington.
  • Later, Trump himself admitted that “doesn’t believe” in an attack on Putin’s residence.
