On the night of December 6, the Russian military attacked Chernihiv region with attack drones. As reported by the State Service for Emergency Situations, in Chernihiv and the Chernihiv district, the Russian army struck critical infrastructure facilities.

In the Koryukiv district, according to the report, hits were recorded in the residential sector and on a civilian object.

“Departments of the State Emergency Service promptly extinguished the fires that arose as a result of the strikes. There was no information about the victims,” the report said.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

According to the latest UN data, in Ukraine in 2025, the number of civilian deaths from long-range weapons increased by 26%, and the number of wounded – by 75%.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
