State Emergency Service: 4 people, including a child, died during the day after falling under the ice

The State Service of Ukraine for Emergency Situations reports that four people died yesterday after falling under the ice.

“Tragic incidents occurred in Lviv, Poltava, and Dnipropetrovsk regions, as well as in Kirovohrad region. Rescuers search for a missing boy born in 2013 in the village of Rubaniy Myst, Novoukrainian district. discovered and lifted the teenager’s body from the reservoir,” the message reads.

The State Emergency Service urged not to go out on the ice on the reservoirs, which is not strong due to temperature fluctuations.

The day before, the State Emergency Service reported the death of a man born in 1974 who went fishing in the village of Gamalivka in the Lviv region.

In Kyiv, on the afternoon of January 4, they rescued two people who fell under the ice on the Dnieper at a distance of about 100 m from the shore.
