SpaceX for the first time brought out Starship with a useful load in orbit

Yevgeny Demkivsky Author of news Mezha.media and GIK. I write about technologies, cinema and games. Perhaps about games with a little more passion.

SpaceX has reached an important border in Starship. During the 10th test flight, the company first successfully launched a load-eight layouts of Starlink satellites. The launch was postponed several times due to weather and technical problems, but occurred without incidents. Earlier, Starship exploded while lifting on the seventh, eighth and ninth flights. In June, another explosion occurred directly on the ground while preparing for the start.

The tenth flight started at 6:30 pm on the American central time on August 26, 2025 (02:30 on August 27, Kyiv time) from Starbase Space in Texas. The first degree Super Heavy launched all 33 Raptor engines and raised a rocket over the Gulf of Mexico. After the separation of Super Heavy degrees performed a series of complex maneuvers, including planting braking, intentionally disconnected one of the three central motors in the final phase and used a backup. He even performed a short “hanging” over the water before the controlled drive in the Indian Ocean.

The upper degree of Starship continued flight into space and successfully unfolded eight layouts of Starlink satellites, and also re -switch on the Raptor engine in space – a key technology for future deorbital maneuvers.

Particular attention was paid to the return phase: thermal protection and the Starship body were deliberately subjected to extreme loads to collect more data on the strength of the structure.

SpaceX emphasized that this flight is an important step to the full repeatedness of the Starship system, but the creation of upper -degree return technology for reuse.
