SoundCloud announced a new cheaper paid plan for artists called Artist, and renamed its Next Pro plan to Artist Pro, writes UNN with reference to TechChurnch.

Details

The new plan will cost $39 per year and impose certain restrictions on features such as track expansion, distribution, monetization, and AI mastery.

Artists who subscribe to this plan will get 3 hours of as many tracks as they want – the same limit as the free plan.

Artists will also have the opportunity to boost new tracks to get more than 100 listeners. SoundCloud can also be used as a way to distribute and monetize tracks on other platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and TikTok.

Artists will receive 100% of SoundCloud’s playback royalties, and will keep profits from other platforms. Both of these features are available for two tracks per month for the Basic plan.

Additionally, users will be able to replace three tracks per month without losing stats, plays, likes or comments. Artists will also receive credit for mastering one track per month using SoundCloud tools.

The new basic plan will be widely available after it is piloted in Australia, Canada and New Zealand.

We will remind

Spotify has released its music summary of the year with the most popular artists and songs. Taylor Swift topped the world ranking, and Klavdia Petrivna became the leader among Ukrainian artists.
