“According to the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, the attacks on these facilities led to a 20% deficit in the domestic market of petroleum products, idleness of 37% of oil refining capacities”, — write: www.radiosvoboda.org
“If we take the statistics for September-October this year, there are 20 objects. Among them are 6 oil refineries, 2 oil terminals, 3 oil depots and 9 oil pumping stations,” said the head of the SBU.
According to him, the attacks on these facilities led to a 20% deficit in the domestic market of petroleum products, idleness of 37% of oil refining capacities, a shortage of petroleum products in 57 regions of Russia and a ban on the export of gasoline until the end of this year.
He noted that the Russian “Pantsir” air defense systems work most effectively against Ukrainian drones, so since the beginning of 2025, Ukraine has destroyed 48% of them. According to him, Russia can produce about 30 such installations per year, but the number of destroyed air defense systems significantly exceeds this figure.
After the start of a full-scale invasion of Russia, various objects on the territory of the Russian Federation are subjected to airstrikes. Most often, in 2024 and 2025, oil refineries (refineries) became the target of attacks.
Most of the attacks were confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stating that the Defense Forces of Ukraine “systematically implement measures aimed at reducing the combat potential of the Russian occupation forces, as well as at forcing the Russian Federation to stop armed aggression against Ukraine.”
