Sijjarto’s direct speech: “Brussels has been financing the operations of the Ukrainian state with the money of European people for many years. Meanwhile, corruption is flourishing in Ukraine, so it is not surprising that no one has yet seen an accurate report on the spending of funds received from the EU… And what does Brussels want? To send even more money to Ukraine, to President Zelensky, in whose immediate circle a large corruption network was recently discovered.”

Details: In this post, he also shared an article by the propaganda publication Mandiner about corruption in the Ukrainian energy sector.

“It’s time to stop this madness, it is necessary to stop sending money of European citizens to Ukraine!” – said Sijarto.

He also assured that as long as the Fidesz party is in power, “the Hungarian people can be sure: the money of the Hungarian people will not go to Ukraine.”

Prehistory:

· Earlier it was reported that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine published an investigation into a major corruption scheme at Energoatom NAEC under the name Midas.

· The organizer of the scheme was businessman, co-owner of Kvartal-95 and former partner of President Zelensky, Timur Mindych. The prosecution noted that Mindich exerted influence on the former Minister of Energy Herman Galushchenko and the former Minister of Defense Rustem Umyerov.

· On the morning of November 12, Prime Minister Yulia Svyridenko announced that Galushchenko, who is currently the Minister of Justice, was removed from his post after a high-profile NABU investigation into corruption at Energoatom.

· The German government continues to trust Ukraine against the background of the energy corruption scandal, but will closely monitor developments.

· Finland previously also said that the corruption scandal in the government of Ukraine will not have a negative impact on the European Union’s plans to provide financial assistance to Kyiv.
