The Foreign Minister also discussed the future visit of Viceremier Taras Kachka to Budapest “and other future bilateral contacts between Ukraine and Hungary”, the message reads.

“We are looking forward to tomorrow’s consultations on the rights of the Hungarian national minority. Ukraine is ready to work on all bilateral issues in the spirit of mutual respect,” Sibiga added.

He said that in a conversation with the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary emphasized the need to open negotiating clusters as soon as possible in the negotiations on entry into the EU and “support this step by all Member States”.

Separately, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine congratulated the conclusion of a 10-year shell agreement on gas “as an important step towards strengthening the energy security of our region and the whole of Europe”.

“The security of Ukraine and Europe is indivisible, and its strengthening is our common interest. Pragmatic and mutually beneficial cooperation between our two countries is key, and we offer the Hungarian side to work hard on it,” Sibiga said.

In recent days, the heads of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Hungary exchanged acute cases due to blows to the Druzhba oil pipeline and the prospects of Kyiv membership in the EU.

After that, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine called on the Hungarian colleague to speak personally instead of disputes on social networks.
