Details: The event took place in the village of Novosilky, Fastiv district (as specified by the Prosecutor’s Office, on the evening of January 19). The suspect was waiting for the victim near the entrance, after which he took out a gun and fired two shots in his direction. The man received a gunshot wound to the head and was hospitalized.

After committing the crime, the suspect left the scene, but was detained by the police.
Currently, the identity of the perpetrator of the crime, as well as other possible accomplices, is being established within the framework of the pre-trial investigation.
According to preliminary information, the suspect could use smart glasses, with the help of which he identified the victim and determined whom exactly he needed to shoot.
During the search of the man’s place of temporary residence, the law enforcement officers seized a “Fort-12” pistol with an installed silencer, which, according to the investigation, he illegally kept without a corresponding permit.
Under the procedural guidance of the Fastiv district prosecutor’s office, the suspect was informed of the suspicion of the man in a completed attempted murder, committed for selfish reasons and on order, as well as in illegal handling of weapons.
As specified by the Head of State at the Prosecutor’s Office, the court has already arrested the suspect without the right to bail.
If proven guilty in court, the man faces up to 15 years in prison.
