“From the beginning of the work of the Ukrainian Donor Platform, one of its priority directions is recovery. Today, I suggested to the partners to strengthen this direction by creating an Operational Group for Recovery and an Advisory Group under the Recovery Agency, which will contribute to the coordination and specification of recovery projects,” the head of government said.
According to Shmygal, the purpose of the work of the Task Force on Reconstruction will be to create a “single window” for the exchange of information on urgent reconstruction and rehabilitation needs, infrastructure projects at the regional level, and priority sectoral projects. The group’s work will involve regular meetings with the Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery, relevant ministries, Special Envoys for Recovery, Platform members and other key stakeholders.

It should focus on the practical implementation of projects and the most effective use of resources, which will help direct them as efficiently and transparently as possible to achieve results in the shortest possible time.
“Among other things, it is necessary to strengthen cooperation at the regional level. We have examples of the effectiveness of patronage over a specific region. I called on partners to actively join this format of cooperation,” Shmyhal noted.
The Prime Minister also noted that given the scale of the tasks, the government is also working on creating coalitions. In this regard, he emphasized the importance of coordination of coalitions by the respective special representatives for recovery.
“The restoration of Ukraine is the largest project for the coming years. And our systematic and coordinated work is the key to the successful implementation of these joint projects and initiatives,” Shmyhal said.
