“Rehabilitation is one of the important stages on the way to the return of Ukrainian soldiers from the front, so the development and support of this direction is among the priorities of the government. We set ourselves an ambitious goal — to open modern rehabilitation centers for servicemen and veterans in all regions,” the prime minister said.
According to him, “today, Dewley and the UN Commissioner for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in the Context of War and Peacebuilding got acquainted with the work of one such rehabilitation center in the Kyiv region.”
“Dewley is a documentary photographer who was seriously injured in Afghanistan. He is an example of struggle and love for life. We appreciate his personal help to our state and Ukrainians who suffered from the war,” Shmyhal added.
Shmyhal and Dewley spoke with personnel and military personnel undergoing treatment.
“The wards in the institution are inclusive and take into account the special needs of patients. We discussed the project on how to expand rehabilitation opportunities,” the head of government emphasized.
Shmyhal presented awards to defenders who were injured and undergoing rehabilitation.
And also to the doctors who treat and save the lives of Ukrainian soldiers.
