“Tomorrow we have consultations with the heads of groups and factions, and the leadership of the parliament on the details of this Agreement. We will familiarize them, ”he said on the air of the national telemorathon.
Shmigal explained that the agreement is international and should be ratified in the Verkhovna Rada.
“After ratification in the parliament, this agreement will come into force and we will be able to move on and sign a technical agreement between US and Ukraine legal entities,” the Prime Minister added.
Earlier, Bloomberg, citing a source, reported that Ukraine is ready to sign an agreement on natural resources from the United States, the Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko is on his way to Washington to sign the Agreement.
Shmigal expects this agreement to be subscribed in the next day.
Under the framework of the US and Ukraine agreement, Ukraine will seek to create the conditions for “increasing investments in the mining industry, energy and related technologies in Ukraine”, according to a document, which was familiarized with Bloomberg News. Washington also recognizes the intentions of Kiev that the agreement does not contradict his plans for accession to the EU.
Another breakthrough was that the United States agreed that only the future military assistance that they can provide Ukraine after signing the agreement will be credited to their contribution to the Fund, according to the document.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Schmigal has recently stated that Washington has refused to insist on the inclusion in the assistance agreement for tens of billions of dollars, provided since the beginning of the Russian invasion.
Shmigal stated this after meeting with the Minister of Finance US Scott Bessent, which discussed, among other things, this agreement.

Trump has promoted an agreement since the beginning of his second term in January. Both parties were ready to sign an agreement on natural resources in February, but it was postponed after the meeting of Trump and President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky in the oval office turned into a dispute.
