Seven miners, who were trapped underground due to the Russian attack on Kryvyi Rih, were evacuated from the mine.

Literally: “On January 8, as a result of a rocket attack on the city, several areas were cut off, including the mines where people were working at the time. In one of the mines, seven workers remained underground – on the horizons – 1490 m and – 940 m.

Mining rescuers of DVGRZ DSNS together with the company’s specialists used the generator, started the lifting mechanism and ensured the descent of the mine cage.

After more than six hours of work, all workers were raised to the surface.”

What preceded:

• Vilkul reported that on January 7, the Russian occupation forces launched one of the largest combined attacks on Kryvyi Rih during the entire time of the full-scale invasion. The attack was on several locations.
• On January 8, the Russians attacked Kryvyi Rih again, according to preliminary data, with two ballistic “Iskanders” on apartment buildings.
