It is known that peat fire was discovered on Saturday, April 19, in the area of the country cooperative. The fire area was three hectares.
“At the scene, the next guards of the 53rd State Fire and Rescue Post of the village of Gostomel and the 35th State Fire and Rescue Unit of Bucha work,” the SES informs.
The SES noted that last day in the ecosystem of Ukraine there were 351 fires on an area of more than 377 hectares. In particular, 66 fires were eliminated in the Kiev region in the last day. There are 34 fires in Kharkiv and Zhytomyr regions.
In total, since the beginning of 2025, 21,577 occupied in ecosystems. The SESU called for citizens not to burn dry vegetation.
“Such actions destroy the ecosystem, kill animals and can cost human lives,” rescuers emphasized.
Earlier it became known that two people were killed in the burning of dry vegetation in the Kyiv region.
