Details: The conversation between Trump and Scholz, as noted, was devoted to “the challenges of security policy in Europe.”

The parties “agreed that Russia’s war against Ukraine has been going on for too long and that it is important to get on the road to a fair, just and sustainable peace as soon as possible,” Gebeshreit added.

At the same time, Scholz confirmed that Germany will continue to support Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression “as much as is necessary.”

During the campaign, the elected American president promised to end the war in Ukraine “in 24 hours.”

Donald Trump’s team is known to be mulling over a plan to end hostilities in Ukraine, and he himself recently stated that he had made “some progress.”

Also earlier, the newly elected US president assured that he “will not leave Ukraine” in his attempts to settle the Russian-Ukrainian war.
