Details: According to the journalists, it is about Mercedes-Benz cars, Audi Q8, apartments of 120 square meters in Chernivtsi and a share in the recreation complex in the Bukovyna Carpathians.

The family acquired the property registered to the parents of Kostyantyn Semenyuk’s wife during the period when he held senior positions in the Security Service of Ukraine, in particular, as the head of the department of counterintelligence protection of state interests in the Chernivtsi SBU and during his work as the deputy head of the Vinnytsia SBU department.
“Schemy” found evidence that at least part of this property – Audi Q8 and apartments in Chernivtsi – is used by Semenyuk himself and his wife.
In a comment to “Schemes”, the press service of the SBU and members of Semenyuk’s family reported that the property was purchased at the expense of his wife’s parents, because her mother-in-law had worked for decades in Italy and Israel.
Although the journalists noticed that the seller of the Audi Q8 at a significantly reduced price turned out to be a figure in the investigation of the very SBU department in which Semenyuk worked in a managerial position.
And the seller of business-class apartments at twice the market price turned out to be the father of the person involved in the investigation of the Chernivtsi tax office, in which Semenyuk’s wife worked as a tax inspector for a long time.
The article also states that in May 2023, Semenyuk’s father-in-law Vasyl Gushtyk became the owner of a 2020 Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-Benz GLE 350D. The price of the car, according to the announcement of its sale, was 75 thousand dollars (about three million hryvnias).
In October 2023, Gushtyk acquired another car – Audi Q8 2019. The sale price, according to the official register of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, was only 68 thousand hryvnias, while the market value of the car was only 60 thousand dollars.
The seller of the car turned out to be Vinnytsia businessman Andriy Opanasyuk, who was in the field of view of the Vinnytsia Department of the SBU, whose deputy head was Kostyantyn Semenyuk at the time.
The SBU employee’s wife, Maryna Semenyuk, according to her declarations, also officially did not have enough funds to help her parents purchase numerous real estate and cars. Like the head of the Poltava SBU Kostyantyn Semenyuk himself, judging by his salary and the savings declared by his wife.
Semenyuk refused to personally comment on the circumstances of his family’s acquisition of property and advised to contact the press service. They noted that the parents of the SBU official’s wife regularly worked abroad for more than 30 years.
On August 7, 2025, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi appointed Semenyuk the head of the Poltava SBU department. Prior to that, he served as the head of the same department for more than a year.
Updated: The SBU “Ukrainian Pravda” also emphasized that the parents of the SBU official’s wife regularly worked abroad for more than 30 years and purchased all available property with their own savings.
