Scheduled inspections for some types of non-food products have been resumed: what can be inspected by the State Production and Consumer Service

The government recently decided to renew routine inspections of some types of non-food products that may be potentially dangerous for consumers. The State Production and Consumer Service specified exactly which checks are in question, he writes UNN.

Currently, the State Production and Consumer Service, as a market surveillance body, can carry out planned measures of state market surveillance in relation to the following types of products:

toys;

room heaters and combined heaters;

electrical and electronic equipment.

We note that in accordance with the legislation, scheduled inspections of product characteristics are carried out at the distributors of these products in accordance with the sectoral market surveillance plan.

Derzhprod also reminded that unscheduled inspections of non-food products have been resumed since March of this year. This means that the State Production and Consumer Service can check the characteristics of products from distributors and manufacturers of such products on the basis of appeals that contain information about the distribution of products that have defects or threaten human life and health.
