According to the SBU, an 18-year-old boy and a 19-year-old girl arrived in Zaporizhzhia, rented an apartment opposite the checkpoint of a military facility and installed a hidden camcorder, which was accessed by representatives of Russian special services. They planned to lay a homemade explosive device (SVP), filled with bolts and fittings, and blow it up remotely on March 25 – on the day of the SBU.
“According to the Security Service counterintelligence, the occupiers planned to remove the explosives together with their agents near the checkpoint of the defense facility on this day,” the SBU said.
During the searches, the detainees found the components of SVP, mobile phones and other evidence of involvement in the crime.
