The Security Service of Ukraine stated that they qualify the explosion as an attempt at a terrorist attack and opened the appropriate criminal proceedings.
«The report of the Opel car explosion on Varnenskaya Street has been received on special line 102 in the morning. According to preliminary information, a man who was inside the vehicle was injured. He is provided with medical care, ”the police said.
The SBU added that an investigative team and explosive equipment were working at the scene, which “carry out complex measures to establish all the circumstances of the explosion and the persons involved in it.”
