SBU General has declared suspicion of illegal enrichment

The National Anti -Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti -Corruption Prosecutor’s Office claim that they exposed the officials of the Security Service of Ukraine from the highest officers on illegal enrichment and declaration of false information.

According to the investigation, in December 2023 the suspect purchased an apartment for 21.6 million UAH and issued it for his wife. At the same time, under the contract, its cost is UAH 12.8 million.

To substantiate the origin of the funds, the wife indicated that she had earned them as a FOP – from February 2022, providing legal and consulting services.

Investigators found that the accounts of FOP indeed received funds for the provision of legal and consulting services. However, a person suspected of seizing the funds of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” as part of a criminal organized group, as well as from companies controlled by the said person.

The evidence collected shows that such services were not provided, and companies have signs of fictitiousness, anti -corruption emphasizes.

In addition, there is no confirmation of the legitimate origin of the rest of the money spent on the apartment in the amount of UAH 8.8 million.

Updated: The Security Service of Ukraine stated that she perceives the suspicion of the SBU General Ilya Vityuk as revenge on the part of anti -corruption bodies in response to the special service of several employees of the National Anti -Corruption Bureau at the end of July this year.

Prehistory:

• At the beginning of April 2024, investigative investigative journalists found Vityuk’s wife purchased in December 2023, a premium club apartment for almost 200 squares. The market value of such housing is over UAH 20 million.
• After the investigation of the journalists, the SBU Chairman Vasyl Malyuk removed Vityuk at the time of inspection of the circumstances and sent to the front.
• The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption has begun a lifestyle “in order to establish compliance with the standard of living of Vityuk IA with his property and his family members and their income.”
• On May 1, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree on the release of Elijah Vityuk from the post of Chief of the SBU Cybersecurity Department.
