The Navy emphasized that ports and civilian shipping are civilian infrastructure objects, and attacks on them pose a threat to the lives of civilians and undermine global food security.
Earlier, the Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine – the Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, Oleksiy Kuleba, said that the Russian forces have again attacked the port infrastructure of Odesa, and there is damage to facilities in the ports of Pivdenny and Chornomorsk. According to him, oil storage tanks of one of the industrial enterprises were damaged. A civilian vessel with grain under the flag of Panama, which was in the port, was also damaged.
Since the beginning of December, the forces of the Russian Federation have been attacking Odeshchya almost daily, the targets of the attacks were, among other things, ports. The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.
The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.
The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
