A Russian attack on an energy facility in the Nizhyn district of Chernihiv Oblast has left 340,000 subscribers without electricity as of the night of April 6.
According to Chernihivoblenergo, the assault caused significant damage to a crucial energy infrastructure. The blackout has affected residents in the cities of Chernihiv and Pryluky, along with surrounding areas in the Chernihiv and Pryluky districts.
The company announced that restoration efforts will commence as soon as the security situation permits.
Prior to this incident, Russian forces targeted another energy facility in the Novhorod-Siverskyi district of Chernihiv Oblast, resulting in power outages for over 10,000 consumers in border communities.
