The 28-year-old resident of the Jankoy district of the occupied Crimea was accused of “State Trease”, informs the project of Radio Liberty Crimea. Russian security forces suspect her in the work of Ukrainian intelligence, the prosecutor’s office of the peninsula controlled by the Russian Federation reports.

According to March 2024, the woman took a picture of the location of the air defense and the deployment of the Russian military in the Crimea. For this, as stated in the case file, she received a reward of 15 thousand rubles.

“As an opponent of conducting a special military operation (as Russia calls a full -scale war against Ukraine – ed.) Having established contact with the channel administrator, the woman took photos of the locations of air defense and dislocation of the personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, ” – says the Russian prosecutor’s office, whose statements cannot be verified independently.

According to the human rights organization “Crimean”, in 2024, at least 56 Crimeans were persecuted by the Russian authorities. The reasons for criminal cases were accusations of alleged relations with the prohibited organizations in the Russian Federation, state treason, espionage, public utterances, organizing sabotage or calls for violence.
