Russia uses four Modifications of “Shahmed” for attacks on Ukraine – adviser OP

The Russian army applies four main modifications of percussion drones created on the basis of Iranian ShahED-136. This was announced by the Presidential Advisor on sanction policy Vladislav Vlasyuk, noting that Ukraine is keeping a separate accounting of the types of drones used by the Russian Federation.

The list includes original Shahd-136 – one -time drone with a range up to 2,000 km, a speed of 180 km/h and a combat part of 50 kg. It is equipped with a CRPA-antenna and transmits telemetry through LTE. Modifications include a change in color, renewal of the combat part and communication systems.

Gerani-2 -Russian analogue ShahED-136, made in Alabuz. It has similar characteristics, but uses Russian components, including an antenna “Comet”. The drone is adapted to winter conditions and has a modernized engine.

Harpia-A1created in Izhevsk, has a shorter range – up to 1 500 km, but can carry up to 90 kg of explosives. It is equipped with a thermal imaging with the PTM-3 cassettes and cassettes.

Gerbera – multifunctional drone with a range of 450 km and a speed of 160 km/h. Used as a shock and reconnaissance drone or as a relay or deception. Has a GNSS or CRPA-antenna, and in intelligence-MesH modem and camcorder.

According to GUR, as of May 2025, the production of “Shahanedov” in Russia reached about 170 units a day. By the end of the year, this figure is planned to increase to 190 drones a day.
