In 2025, the Russians continue to actively carry out airstrikes on the border regions of Ukraine. The enemy is shelling Chernihiv region especially intensively.

Direct speech: “Regarding the border with the Russian Federation. The enemy does not stop shelling the borders of three regions. These are Chernihiv region, Sumy region and Kharkiv region. Since the beginning of this year alone, our border groups have recorded more than 2.5 thousand shellings by Russia on these territories. 55 of them were with the use of aviation, and more than a thousand – with the use of artillery, more than 1,400 – with the use of unmanned aerial vehicles.”
Details: The spokesman emphasized that since the beginning of the year, the Russians have been shelling Chernihiv region with the help of aircraft.
“Prior to this, the enemy’s aviation was more actively used exclusively in the direction of Sumy. Now we see shelling both on the territory of Chernihiv Oblast and on the territory of Sumy Oblast,” he added.
