Russia: drones attacked Gazprom’s refinery in Bashkortostan

The head of the Russian region Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov reported that “two drones of aircraft type” on September 18 attacked the oil refinery “Gazprom of Naftohim” in Salaavat. According to him, there were no dead and victims, at the enterprise a fire began.

“Passive and active protection worked, the protection of the enterprise opened fire. The degree of damage is found out. We are currently eliminating the fire, all services are on the spot, ”Khabirov wrote in the telegram.

Before the statement of Bashkortostan, Ukrainian Telegram-channel Exilenova+ distributed photos and videos of smoke pillar-probably in Gazprom Naftohim Salaavat.

In local groups, VKontakte also published photos of fires, users wrote about “strange smoke and chemical smell”.

According to the project of Radio Liberty Idel.Realities, on September 18 in Bashkortostan did not declare the regime of unmanned danger – the warnings were in the neighboring Orenburg region of Russia.

Gazprom Naftohim Salaavat LLC was attacking in May 2024. This enterprise is a member of PJSC Gazprom and manages the largest oil refining complex in the south of Bashkortostan, the Russian edition of RBC Ufa wrote.

The enterprise carries out a complete cycle of hydrocarbon raw materials and produces more than 150 names of products: car gasoline, diesel, fuel, fuel, bitumen, polyethylene.

The preliminary attack of drones on Bashkortostan took place on September 13 – the Bashnafti company was damaged in Ufa.

Bashkortostan remains the leader in the number of those killed in the war against Ukraine both among the regions of the Volga region and in general in Russia. According to Idel.Realia’s estimates, at least 7 063 natives of the republic have already been killed since the beginning of a full -scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Ukrainian military attacks in Bashkortostan were not commented.

Since the beginning of 2024, Russian refineries have regularly affected Ukrainian drones. Some plants failed the installation of primary oil processing, which required repair.

Most attacks by the Armed Forces General Staff confirmed, stating that the forces of Ukraine “systematically implement measures aimed at reducing the combat potential of the Russian occupation troops, as well as forcing the Russian Federation to terminate the armed aggression against Ukraine.”
