During the day (from 10:00 on December 22 to 09:00 on December 23), the Russian military attacked Ukraine with 72 Shahed attack UAVs and other types of drones, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported.

“As of 09:00, the downing of 47 Shahed-type attack UAVs and drones of other types has been confirmed in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi and Odesa regions. Due to the active opposition of the Defense Forces, 25 enemy drone simulators were lost in location (without negative consequences).”

According to the Ukrainian military, in the Khmelnytskyi and Kyiv regions due to the Russian attack, private enterprises and houses of citizens were damaged – initially there were no victims, the victims are being provided with assistance.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
