Earlier, on October 18, OVA reported that the Sumy community had been under Russian strikes since the night. In particular, the troops of the Russian Federation attacked a gas station in the Zarichny district of Sumy with an attack drone. According to preliminary data from the local authorities, there were no casualties.
“At this time, we know of one victim – a 51-year-old woman. She is being examined by doctors, and the necessary assistance is being provided,” the message reads.
In addition, OVA reports on Russian attacks by drones and guided aerial bombs on community elders. There is damage to residential buildings, the scale of the destruction is being clarified.
In the previous day, Sumy OVA reported, five civilians were injured in the region as a result of Russian attacks.
The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.
The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.
The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
