The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declared adamant support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Such a post was published in the account of the department on the social network X against the backdrop of applications of the presidential candidate Romania Celin Georgescu, Ukrinform reports.
“The Romanian Foreign Ministry strongly confirms the unwavering position to support the sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders. This position is clear and based on international law, national interests and long -term foreign policy based on values, ”the statement said.
As reported by Ukrinform, when communicating with the journalist, Candidate of Romania Cellene Georgescu called Ukraine a “fictional state” and stated that its territory would be shared by neighboring countries.
