The death toll as a result of the attack of Russian forces on the port in Odessa increased to three on May 23, said Oleg Kiper, the head of the regional military administration.

“Unfortunately, a 41-year-old man died from the injuries. I express my sincere condolences to my relatives and loved ones, ”Kiper said.

Earlier, local authorities reported the death of two people due to Russian attack by ballistic missiles on the port infrastructure of Odessa on May 23. Eight more were injured, four of them were in serious condition.

The Russian leadership denies that during a full -scale war, the Russian army causes purposeful strikes in the civilian infrastructure of cities and villages of Ukraine, killing civilian populations and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply.

Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful.
