Rocket Fragment Discovered in Polish Village Amid Drone Activity

A fragment of a rocket was discovered in a garden in the village of Jarosławiec, located in the Lublin Voivodeship of Poland, on April 10. The find was reported by the Military Police, according to Polsat News.

The Military Police announced that the fragment likely originated from a missile used in operations against Russian drones during the night of September 9 to 10, 2025. Authorities have secured the area, assuring that there is no threat to public safety.

Dorota Krukowska-Bubilo, a spokesperson for the Municipal Police in Zamość, stated that police were alerted to the unidentified object shortly after 1 PM. “We informed the Military Counterintelligence Service, the Internal Security Agency, and the Military Police. Operations are currently underway at the site,” she explained.

On the night of September 10, 2025, Polish officials reported that approximately 20 Russian drones had violated Polish airspace, with some penetrating nearly 300 kilometers into the country from the eastern border.

Additionally, on September 18, Ukraine and Poland agreed to establish a joint operational group focused on unmanned aerial systems, which will include representatives from both nations’ armed forces. This collaboration aims to enhance regional security in light of recent drone incursions.

Separately, it was noted that the EU Ambassador to Ukraine, Katarina Mathernova, recently discovered a fragment of a Russian Shahed drone while walking in a forest in Kyiv.

A rocket fragment found in Jarosławiec, Poland, is believed to be linked to recent Russian drone activity. Authorities have secured the area and are investigating the incident, which follows a reported violation of Polish airspace by Russian drones.
