The choice in favor of the Lynx KF41 was made after comprehensive tests of the new generation combat vehicle. The combat vehicles will be equipped with a two-person Lance turret and will have a configuration adapted to the needs of the country.

“We are grateful for Ukraine’s trust in us. We also thank the German government for its support. This order is a fundamental success that underlines our ongoing efforts to support Ukraine,” said Armin Papperger, Chairman of the Management Board of Rheinmetall AG.

The Lynx KF41 series of combat vehicles was developed taking into account current and future requirements.

In October 2025, Rheinmetall announced the transfer of additional to Ukraine air defense systems Skyranger 35, which will be financed with the funds received from the frozen assets of Russia.

And in December, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced his intentions to hand over to Ukraine Sidewinder missiles to strengthen air defense.
