Direct Language: “These are two different positions. My transition activity will continue to create a military Ombudsman’s office. A lot of work is ahead. First, the President’s decision to create a military Ombudsman office, then the decision to approve his provisions. The President’s Decree on the appointment of Ombudsman and his deputies will be further.”
Asked if she would hold the post of military Ombudsman, Reshetilova said that she does not know: “Whether I will be, or someone else, it should determine the president. It depends on how the president evaluates my activity as a commissioner for the protection of the rights of servicemen.”
At the same time, she noted that she did not know if her position would be canceled after the office of a military Ombudsman and added that the decision should be made later in the President’s office.
Asked if she would like to embrace this position, Reshetilova said: “There is no clear answer. I can say so – I have a vision of how this institution of military Ombudsman should be launched, I will develop documents and decisions for starting and further work of this institution, and if the president is a good thing. I want to say that there are several worthy candidates for the post of military Ombudsman.
