Recent Attacks in Ukraine: Explosions and Power Outages Reported

On February 13, 2026, several incidents across Ukraine highlighted ongoing tensions and military actions amid the conflict with Russia. Notably, explosions were reported in Mykolaiv, coinciding with widespread power outages in the area.

Residents of Mykolaiv experienced a sudden loss of electricity around 10:57 PM, affecting various districts. Shortly thereafter, at approximately 11:38 PM, an explosion was heard in the city. Authorities did not issue any air raid alerts prior to the blast, raising concerns about the nature of the incident.

In a related development, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke at the Munich Security Conference on the same day, emphasizing the need for continued pressure on Russia. Zelensky remarked that significant compromises have already been made, stating, “We have made many compromises. Putin and his friends are not in prison. This is the biggest compromise the world has already made.” He reiterated Ukraine’s stance against territorial concessions, asserting that such actions would only bolster Russian ambitions.

Additionally, Russian forces targeted the Novgorod-Siverska District Administration in the Chernihiv region on February 13. According to local officials, the building was severely damaged by a strike from a Shahed drone, described as “practically destroyed.” This attack underscores the ongoing threat posed by drone warfare in the region.

In the Kherson community, temporary power outages were also reported, with local authorities investigating the causes. The head of the Military Administration, Yaroslav Shanko, indicated that specialists are currently working to resolve the issues.

Recent incidents in Ukraine, including explosions and power outages, reflect the ongoing military conflict with Russia. President Zelensky’s comments at the Munich Security Conference highlighted the challenges and compromises faced by Ukraine amid the crisis.
