All decisions regarding the regulation of the pharmaceutical market will be made only after consultation with all interested parties. This was stated by the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Health, Mykhailo Radutskyi, and assured that without a compromise, decisions will not be put to the vote, writes UNN.

According to him, discussions on draft law #11493 continue, and the document will not be put to a vote in the session hall until a compromise solution is found.

And it will definitely not be the case that we will accept something, and then the players of this market will say whether it is bad or whether it is good. All decisions will be made after discussions. There are three players, and each has its own truth, that is, there must still be a story that will be somewhere in the middle of the interests of all three players. And we are in no hurry today. According to law No. 11493: until a more or less common position is found, he will not enter the hall

He added that five meetings regarding the discussion of this draft law have already been held on the basis of the committee, three more meetings with all market players were held on the basis of the Ministry of Health.

We will remind

In December 2024, a scandal broke out in the pharmaceutical market due to scandalous amendments to draft law No. 11493. They provide for a number of radical changes: limiting the purchase of drugs by one buyer to 20% of the total volume of the manufacturer, introducing a single electronic catalog for price regulation, establishing quotas for the supply of critical drugs, as well as banning marketing contracts between manufacturers and pharmacies. The pharmaceutical community warned that such changes could lead to serious consequences, namely, a shortage of medicines, especially in the front-line areas, a significant increase in the price of medicines due to the prohibition of the discount system, closure of pharmacies in small towns due to low profitability, disruption of logistics supply chains, reduction of the range of medicines in pharmacies

Thanks to the active position of the participants of the farm market, consideration of this issue at the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada was postponed. However, the participants of the farm market are afraid that the consideration of the changes has been deliberately postponed in order to “extend” them when the indignation of the professional community has subsided a little and there will be no time for a comprehensive discussion.
