Bloomberg sources have added that Russia wants to stop all weapons supply to Ukraine, but its minimal goal is to stop the US assistance.
Russian interlocutors of the agency also insist that the suspension of Putin’s weapons supply will be temporary. Supply of weapons will be renewed after the peace agreement is concluded in which Ukraine has to agree to limit its military potential.
At the same time, an unnamed European official called it unlikely that Europe will agree on the request of Russia to block the supply of weapons to Ukraine by its allies during any “truce”.
He stressed that this could lead to a situation where Russia will be able to re -arry during the termination of hostilities, while Ukraine will not have such an opportunity.
Earlier, the agency wrote that Putin allegedly supports the US proposal for a truce, but insists that it is necessary to fulfill a number of conditions before Russia agrees.
