Details: According to him, it was a test launch of this “latest missile”.
According to Putin, Russia allegedly struck the object of the defense-industrial complex in the Dnipro with a ballistic missile with non-nuclear hypersonic equipment.
Putin claims that there are currently no means of countering Oreshnik missiles. “The missiles attack the target at a speed of 10 mach, that is 2.5-3 kilometers per second. The modern air defenses available in the world and the anti-missile defense systems created by the Americans in Europe do not intercept such missiles. This is impossible,” Putin said.
Putin said that Russia conducted the test in response to the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked targets in the Bryansk and Kursk regions on November 19 and 21 with the use of American ATACMS and Franco-British Storm Shadow (SCALP) missiles. According to him, during the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the command post in the Kursk region, there were dead and wounded people, during the attack in the Bryansk region no one was injured.
Putin called the use of Oreshnik a response to the fact that the United States plans to produce and deploy medium- and shorter-range missiles.
What happened before: Before that, the Air Force reported that during the morning attack on the Dnipro on November 21, the Russian occupiers struck for the first time with an intercontinental ballistic missile. It was noted that it could be the Rubezh ICBM, which is a potential carrier of a nuclear charge.
